Since 2001, the Mental Health Foundation has been leading Mental Health Awareness Week – bringing together the UK to focus on getting good mental health. Each May, millions of people from every part of society take part. They include people in schools and further education; private, public and charity sectors; families and individuals.
Mental Health Awareness Week 2024 takes place 13th-19th May, there events across Bracknell and within the BID area aimed at improving mental wellbeing and highlighting the importance of work life balance and physical activity. This years theme is ‘movement’. To read more about he theme and its importance click here.
Below are some of the Bracknell BID events you can take part in this week to get active:
- Bracknell BID’s Walks for Wellbeing – Wednesday 15th May
- Bracknell BID funded Bootcamp – Wednesday 15th May
- BID funded spinning class – Thursday 16th

DEBRA 80 DAYS GLOBAL VIRTUAL CHALLENGE
Starting from the 13th May DEBRA have teamed up with 80 Days Global; a unique challenge encouraging participants to travel across the globe in 80 days (or less!) as a team. It doesn’t matter if you walk, jog, run, hike or swim, each mile you log will contribute towards the team’s overall goal of travelling across the globe.
