The Bracknell BID is delighted to launch the Business Crime Reduction Service with the support of the National Business Crime Solution (NBCS), a national data sharing organisation and support network for BIDs.
The crime reduction service will make it easier for businesses to work together to share business crime intelligence, reduce crime and anti social behaviour through an interactive intelligence sharing platform app called DISC.
This service is fully funded by the Bracknell BID for BID levy-paying businesses in the Western and Southern Business Areas.
DISC is the unique online information-sharing system that’s helping drive down low-level crime and antisocial behaviour across the UK. Over 500 towns and city centres use DISC, including industrial estates and business areas, across the UK. DISC is available to install and use on a smart phone and Desktop PC.
It allows users to:
- Send and receive urgent and important alerts relating to crime & ASB
- View galleries of known prolific offenders
- Share Instant Messages, news, documents and ID-sought images
- Share information about upcoming events
- Review crime data and trends
The teams at Bracknell BID and NBCS will be hosting a webinar on the 10th February at 10am for interested businesses to join and find out more about the benefits and how to use the DISC platform and get the best from it.
The session which will cover the following:
- The different types of crime impacting businesses
