Bracknell BID Tidy Day – Tuesday 19th March

As part of Keep Britain Tidy’s Great British Spring Clean period, Bracknell BID organised a Tidy Day on 19th March 2024 between 12pm and 2pm. This project enables local business area employees to volunteer their time in order to collectively complete a community litter picking session.

The aim of the Tidy Day is to work towards fulfilling the BID’s aim to promote a team effort to improve the surroundings of the Southern and Western Business area, as well as an opportunity for businesses to network and gain a sense of fulfilment toward improving the visual representation of the local area. This combined effort is part of a wider strategic approach to creating a smart working environment for businesses to operate and people and services to communicate, access and move around safely, and effectively, as well as improving and maintaining the appearance of roads, footpaths and cycleways.

The BID is currently funding ongoing landscape improvement works at Farleymoor Lake, Kiln Lane, Longshot Lane, Cookham Road, Western Road and Downmill Road.

During this session, volunteers helped cleanse Western Road, Longshot Lane, Longshot Lane footpath, Downmill Road, Easthampstead Road Kiln Lane, Downshire Way, Cookham Road and Farleymoor Lake.

Bracknell BID would like to show their appreciation and thank everyone who volunteered.

We had over 12 volunteers dedicating their time to improve the area and managed to collect over 45 bags of litter, making a considerable difference in keeping Bracknell tidy.

We would like to thank Midwich, Dell, Allegis Group, Natural Baby Shower, , Wickes, Greggs and Bracknell Forest Council for their continued support towards Tidy Days.
