Celebrating success across the business community! Danny Meyers, Owner and Director of Ozone Ice Rink, has achieved a remarkable milestone by being inducted into the prestigious UK Ice Hockey Hall of Fame. This accolade recognizes his outstanding contributions to the Great Britain program, marking a proud moment for the local community.
Danny Meyers made 59 appearances for his country, winning a World Championships bronze medal with Great Britain in 2009 and a silver in 2011 and playing in three Olympic Qualifying competitions.
Situated on Western Road in the Western Business Area, Ozone Ice Rink has become the official national hub for the under 16’s 2024 Olympic 3-on-3 Ice Hockey Team, solidifying its position as a hub for nurturing talent and fostering athletic excellence. This has given an incredible boost for Bracknell to be known as a epicenter for Ice Hockey, reinstating the town’s historic ties to the sport of Ice Hockey with former John Nike Leisure Complex closing during the pandemic.
Beyond his achievements as a player, Danny has seamlessly transitioned into a leadership role as the Team GB Olympic Ice Hockey Head Coach for the under 16’s 3-on-3 format. With aspirations set high, he is determined to guide his team to Olympic glory in the upcoming 2024 Winter Youth Olympics in South Korea this January.
