Overnight works on A3095 Mill Lane Bridge (Mill Lane over Ellesfield Avenue)

As part of the Council’s 2023/24 highway maintenance programme the Council is carrying out a refurbishment of the above bridge structure. Just before Christmas substantial works to the underside of the bridge were completed and there is now some further work to be completed on the top side of the bridge.

This will take place during 6 nights of work on Saturday 10th February and the nights of Monday 12th to Friday 16th February inclusive.  On these nights Mill Lane bridge will be closed in both directions from 8pm to 6am the following morning. In the southbound direction (travelling away from Bracknell town centre) the road closure will be between Twin Bridges and the on slip from Ellesfield Avenue.  Traffic for this direction will be diverted via Downshire Way, Bagshot Road, Nine Mile Ride and Crowthorne Road.  The on slip from Ellesfield Avenue to Mill Lane southbound will remain open.  Travelling northbound Mill Lane will be closed only over the bridge and traffic will leave and re-join via the Ellesfield Avenue slip roads.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding these works, please email highways.transport@bracknell-forest.gov.uk or phone the Highways Engineering team on 01344 352000 between 8.30am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.
