Cycle to work

Travel options

As schools start the new term, more people start to return to work and some restrictions public transport people may well be reviewing their options for travelling to and from the Southern and Western Business Areas.

Bus routes run from Bracknell, Wokingham and Reading to the Western and Southern Areas, see http://www.travelinesoutheast.org.uk/ for timetables. To help everyone who works in the area it may also be worth considering:
  • Can your staff’s working times be adjusted to avoid travelling at ‘peak times’?
  • Would any staff want to take advantage of the Government’s cycle to work scheme?
There is also a good network of paths and cycle-paths serving the BID area. A map of the cycle-path network can be found by clicking here.

A government scheme is available for employers to set up as a benefit for employees who would like to take advantage of cycling to work and can help employees save between 25% and 39% on the cost of a new bike or an electric bike. Find out more about the Government Cycle to Work Scheme here.
