Digital Inclusion Research Project for Bracknell Businesses – Bracknell Forest Council

Bracknell Forest Council is currently working on a project looking at digital inclusion in the borough. This will help the Council ensure that residents and businesses have equal access to the benefits of information and communication technologies, including the internet. Over the last two years, access to these tools and the knowledge of how to use them have become more important than ever.

This is a research project and the information gathered may be used to inform any future actions the Council takes on digital inclusion. As part of this work, the Council is keen to engage with the business community in the borough to gather their perspectives on the issue. This could cover issues such as:

  • Levels of digital skills in the workforce
  • Any work you have done to build digital skills
  • The availability of digital devices and infrastructure for your employees, for example in connection to home working
  • Any relevant social responsibility schemes you have been involve with, for example donations of used IT equipment for distribution to residents
  • Whether you are interested in taking part in skills or social responsibility schemes in the future
  • Anything else of relevance

If you have anything to contribute on any of these issues, please contact Sebastian Wright (sebastian.wright@bracknell-forest.gov.uk)
