Bracknell BID ‘Meet Your Neighbour’ Business Breakfast – Capitol Building – 4th October

On Tuesday 4th October, Bracknell BID organised a ‘Meet Your Neighbour’ Business Breakfast event for BID area businesses at The Capitol Building, Oldbury, in the Southern Business Area.

Around 60 attendees enjoyed a complimentary light breakfast with tea and coffee and time to network with other businesses.

Sean Griffin, the Bracknell BID Manager, gave a brief update on the BID’s current projects and future projects, before introducing two businesses resident to The Capitol Building (a Grade A multi-storey office building facility) to give a talk about their business and history.

Jenny Jackson, Deputy Director of Fundraising at DEBRA, gave a moving presentation on how Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), a painful genetic skin blistering condition, can affect people and their families. Jenny highlighted the work DEBRA, the national charity for EB, conducts to raise funds for research and healthcare to support those affected by EB, as well as ways in which BID area businesses can help raise money for those in need.

Rod Moore, CEO of A&O IT Group, gave a captivating talk on A&O IT Group’s services, illustrating their presence in Bracknell as a global leader in end user computing, cyber security, and IT infrastructure services. Rod emphasized the importance of cyber security solutions through showcasing the modern dangers of cyber hacking, as well as their diverse services that cater for a variety of industries, ranging from finance, IT and pharmaceuticals.
