Ice Rink Steward

JOB SUMMARY: To ensure customers visiting Ozone have a great experience, by delivering excellent customer service. Ice Rink Stewards provide a point of contact for customers providing information and helping to maintain a clean & safe environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To always deliver a high level of customer service.
• To be fully conversant with the Safety Operating Procedures of the Ozone.
• To work within, and understand, the company’ Policies and Procedures including Health and Safety.
• To be responsible for completing all assigned tasks in a timely manner given by the Rink Duty Manager
• To undertake tasks such as bookings, exchanging shoes for ice skates, stewarding the Ice Rink, cleaning, and tidying.
• To deal with accidents should they occur, providing first aid if needed and calling for assistance when necessary. First aid training will be provided.
• To, when fully trained and competent, help the team maintain the ice skates, equipment, and ice by using recognised safe systems of work.
• To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as delegated by the Ice Rink Manager or the Ice Rink Duty Managers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the industry advantageous, but not essential
• Customer service experience
• Able to Skate (Preferred but not essential)
• Strong organisational skills
• Availability to work in shifts including evenings and weekends

Experience: The successful candidate will be keen to learn about the ice and events industry and will preferably have their own transport to and from work, as the role requires mornings and/or late nights and regular weekend work. Reliability is a must, so excellent timekeeping and attendance record is essential. We’re looking for outgoing people who are confident in dealing with a huge spectrum of customers, while remaining professional and brand aware.

Location — Bracknell. Applicants must be 16 years old or older. Rate of pay, starting at £7.50 per hour.
