Bracknell BID have funded and installed a number of publicly accessible defibrillators across the business area to help create a safer working environment and improve emergency response outcomes. In response to low survival rates from out‑of‑hospital cardiac arrests, the initiative increased access to life‑saving equipment while also supporting Basic Life Support training for local workers.
Seven defibrillators have been installed at key locations across the Southern and Western Business Areas, along with clear signage to raise awareness. The devices are fully automated and accessible in an emergency, helping ensure businesses and employees are better equipped to respond quickly and effectively.
This project supports Objective 1: Business Growth and Investment, Sub-Objective 2: Facilities and Benefits (b) by promoting wellbeing and community cohesion, and Sub-Objective 5: Recruitment, training, personal development, health and well-being by improving access to life‑saving equipment and emergency preparedness.
The Locations of all defibrillators are as follows
- Acorn House, Longshot Lane
- Bailey’s Garage, Lovelace Road
- Greggs, Western Road
- Wickes, Western Road
- Toolstation, Easthampstead Road
- Waite House, Doncastle Road
- Southern Ductwork, Downmill Road
