Bracknell BID has commissioned an ecology report to understand and enhance biodiversity across its business area. The study assesses existing habitats and species, creating a clear ecological baseline while identifying practical opportunities for improvement.
Through expert surveys and analysis, the project sets out ways to strengthen habitat quality, improve wildlife connections, and support Biodiversity Net Gain—helping create a greener, more sustainable environment for businesses and the wider community.
This project supports Objective 2 – 3a: Biodiversity – Work with partners and other stakeholders to protect and manage the green spaces and the urban environment across the BID area in a way which encourages biodiversity. As well as Objective 2 – 3b: Support businesses in developing awareness of and adopting biodiversity strategies which generate meaningful and measurable benefits.
The BID team will be working through the outlined recommendations in the aim to improve the habitat baseline across the Southern and Western business areas.
