Bracknell BID organises regular Tidy Days to help keep the Southern and Western Business Area clean through lunchtime community litter picking sessions. The BID has hosted over 10 Tidy Days so far, with over 100 volunteers from local businesses litter picking over their lunch break.
Supporting BID Priorities
By maintaining the general condition and appearance of roads, footpaths, cycleways, and verges throughout the BID area, Tidy Days address key priorities identified by local businesses, with 85% highlighting the importance of road and footpath condition and 76% valuing street cleaning and litter control.
Tidy Days reflect Bracknell BID’s commitment to a thriving, sustainable business environment. The initiative supports Objective 1: Business Growth and Investment by enhancing the local area and helping businesses attract and retain staff through a cleaner, more appealing workspace. These regular community litter-picking sessions also foster a sense of community, improve wellbeing, and encourage teamwork among staff. In addition, Tidy Days contribute to Objective 2: Carbon Reduction and Sustainability by promoting environmentally responsible practices and encouraging businesses to take an active role in protecting their surroundings.
