The Bracknell BID has hosted its latest Basic Life Support Awareness Training Session at Ozone Ice Rink, Bracknell in the Southern Business Area. This session provided attendees with potentially life saving knowledge on what to do in an emergency situation when someone is unresponsive, effectively performing CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), give them confidence to save a life and learn how to administer a defibrillator correctly if it is needed. A defibrillator is a device that gives a high energy electric shock to the heart of someone who is in cardiac arrest. This high energy shock is called defibrillation, and it’s an essential part in trying to save the life of someone who’s in cardiac arrest. The Basic Life Support Awareness Training was delivered by the South Central Ambulance Charity.
