Bracknell BID’s ‘Meet Your Neighbour’ Business Breakfast – Wednesday 31st January 2024

On Wednesday 31st January, Bracknell BID held a Business Breakfast event at One Arlington Square in Bracknell’s Western Business Area.

The event was hosted by two of the venue’s resident businesses, Eteach, an education recruitment agency and Education Boutique, who offer bespoke tutoring services. The event was attended close to 50 delegates representing various local businesses, who enjoyed networking and building new relationships over a complimentary breakfast.

BID manager Sean Griffin welcomed attendees and provided an overview of the BID, including a promotional video highlighting some of the BID’s completed and ongoing projects.

Following the welcome and introduction, Paul Howell, CEO of Eteach, provided an overview of the company and outlined their journey from a small startup business to becoming a highly successful education recruitment agency operating worldwide.

Lucy Spencer, Founder and Director of Education Boutique provided an engaging presentation highlighting the company’s bespoke approach to education and tutoring, and how they meet the needs of every learner. Lucy provided an insight into her previous roles within the education industry and private tutoring and how these experiences helped shape their approach and understanding of the differing needs of every learner.

Lucy outlined how Education Boutique challenge learners’ perceptions and assumptions and to set and achieve their goals. Lucy also highlighted what employers can do when hiring, and challenged businesses not to discount learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN) who have a lot to offer. Education Boutique works to unlock the potential of every learner, breaking free from assumptions on what learning must look like and re-inventing it around the learners’ interests and motivations.

Following the presentations, attendees were given a further opportunity to network and build relationships.

The BID’s regular Meet Your Neighbour Business Breakfast events provide BID businesses the opportunity to showcase what they can offer and helps build commercial relationships.
