On Wednesday 24th July, Bracknell BID held a Business Breakfast event at Access Self Storage in the Southern Business Area of Bracknell.
The event was hosted by Access Self Storage and had a range of speakers explaining what services they can offer. The event was attended close to 20 delegates representing various local businesses, who enjoyed networking and building new relationships over a complimentary breakfast.
Access Self Storage operates as a business centre with warehousing, the Bracknell facility provides ample space for modular storage, offices, four kitchens, break-out areas, and plenty of parking for business, domestic, vehicle and storage facilities.
Access Self Storage prides itself on providing state-of-the-art storage facilities, perfect for start-ups or medium-sized enterprises. The Bracknell building also offers unfurnished office spaces from 125sq.ft to 1215sq.ft with the latest security using QR codes, creating a safe and secure environment. Their goal is to provide a friendly, warm and welcoming experience and a professional service.
BID manager Sean Griffin welcomed attendees and provided an overview of the BID, highlighting some of the BID’s completed and ongoing projects as well as explaining the upcoming renewal process.
Adekunle Onasanya from Netcargo International Logistics continued by introducing the business and the role he plays, including the services they offer from sea, air and freight logistics to delivery options and legislation compliance. He explained their involvement in the world food industry and highlighted how they are much more than just a freight company, operating globally with a range of services offered.
Amy-Lou Owen from Amy-Lou Creative Psychotherapy held an interactive session getting all those who attended involved in thinking about emotions and how mental health can impact businesses. She explained the services she offers and how long-term treatment can benefit individuals as well as organisations due to the financial impact mental health can have. Amy-Lou also provides training on these important topics as well as one to one sessions for adults and children.
Mary-Jane Pettit CEO of Pioneer FM, then spoke about her journey from a start up business back in 2019. Offering sustainable cleaning services to high security businesses all across England, priding themselves on making a conscious effort to reduce waste. She also began a clothing business Pioneer Clothing, which is a sustainable clothing brand that strives to rid the world of fast fashion and waste; by using organic and recycled materials. Their clothing range is made with real people in mind, using high quality materials that have been responsibly sourced and tested for everyday use.
Finally, Mary-Jane spoke of an innovative app created which can introduce businesses to employees within a certain geographic area, offering the opportunity for individuals to find work and get paid within the same day.
Alasdair Macdonald concluded the talks by outlining what Access Self Storage can offer. From various storage options, to affordable office space which can be upscaled and downscaled at short notice during busier periods.
He explained the business centre within Access Self Storage houses an eclectic mix of businesses that have found not just storage solutions but a thriving community of collaboration, growth and success. Boasting a variety of customers across many sectors, including a call centre, broadband provider, care agency, courier, pilot training organisation, marketing agency and many more.
Following the presentations, attendees were given a further opportunity to network and build relationships as well as take a tour of the facilities at Access Self Storage.
