Nationwide electrical company delivers the personal touch in Bracknell

With over 300 branches across the UK, Electric Center is a well-established, well-respected and incredibly successful electrical wholesaler supplying both trade and public across the UK.

Scott Elcome is the Branch Manager at the Bracknell site which is based in the Trade Centre on Western Road.  Scott says, “We’ve been in Bracknell now for about 15 years and serve a great variety of local customers; from schools and nursing homes to large industrial and commercial buildings. We also supply domestic and professional customers with lots of passing trade and thanks to our fantastic location we are able to serve the whole county and further afield through our own van delivery service and branch network.”

“The company has been established for many years which means we’re well known and have a great reputation within the electrical sector, but we’re extremely passionate about providing a personal touch and building connections within our local community.

“Through our membership of the Bracknell BID we regularly attend business breakfast meetings and networking events which has enabled us to meet other fantastic businesses in the area and make some new customers in the process.”

Scott operates a small team from the Bracknell site which means they know each other and their customers incredibly well and they have a great deal of knowledge and expertise between them. The business as a whole is incredibly passionate about bridging the skills gaps in the sector and encouraging the next generation of talent and they are proud to be supporting Joe their apprentice on his EDA Apprenticeship.

A big drive towards renewables

Over the last few years Scott and the team have seen a shift in their customers’ needs for renewable products and this is an area of the business that is really booming now.

Scott says, “We have a great deal of popular products including sockets, lights, fuse boards and cables but we’ve certainly seen a peak in demand for solar panels, LED lighting and EV car chargers – all of which we supply from our Bracknell site. One of the great things about our trade centre in Bracknell and certainly our USP is that we are able to maintain really high levels of stocks which mean we always have products available on site – something our customers really value.”

Visit the Project EV Show Truck in February 2023

To further support their customers, Scott and the team at Electric Center will be hosting the Project EV Show Truck on the 7th February 2023 right outside their offices on the Western Road. Taking place between 8am and midday this event is open to anyone interested in learning more about electric cars and the wide range of EV chargers and there will be live demonstrations and specialist advice throughout the day.
