Child Autism UK - Bracknell BID

Child Autism UK

Child Autism UK’s main office is based in Bracknell’s very own Arlington Square, although their reach has since expanded out of Bracknell.

The charity was founded by parents, and to this day, nearly all of their trustees are either parents of autistic children or have lived experience of autism. Child Autism UK supports a helpline where their staff provide advice, information, and support to families in need. In addition to the helpline, the charity supports a clinical team that delivers direct learning & behavioural support services as well as training courses.

“The financial impact of the recent COVID pandemic meant many charities closed their helplines. We are now the only national autism helpline in the UK, this means that we take over 600 calls and message a month. Especially in the current SEN crisis, it is absolutely vital this service continues to be there for parents.” –James Savage, Corporate Partnership Lead Child Autism UK
