Billion-pound support package for innovative firms hit by coronavirus

Have you, or are you developing an innovative new product or service? Innovation doesn’t have to be the next new IPhone or driver-less car…Deliveroo – the food delivery service is a great example of innovation, and a business which has successfully accessed funding to bring their idea to life.

To recognise this, UK businesses driving innovation and development will be helped through the coronavirus outbreak with a £1.25 billion government support package. The package includes a £500 million investment fund for high-growth companies impacted by the crisis, made up of funding from government and the private sector. SMEs focusing on research and development will also benefit from £750 million of grants and loans.
